Poly groups in Austria – detailed descriptions
There are regular polyamory get-togethers taking place in most big cities in Austria. Most of them being informal meet-ups (more details below). They are attended by people who are polyamorous, in some kind of consensual non monogamous relationships, or interested in polyamory or alternative relationships in general. Many people have formed friendships over time and use these meetings to catch up with their friends, or to get to know new/more people. As there is a growing common knowledge that polyamory exists, many new faces are attending the meetings too, so don’t be afraid that you are going to be left out of conversations, if you are attending for the first time.
Individuals of all gender identities, gender expressions, sexual orientations, abilities and disabilities, mother tongues, experience levels and of all age groups are welcome! If you have a walking disability, please inform the organizers beforehand in order to find out whether/how the location of the meetup is going to be accessible to you.
In Vienna there is a meetup where every one speaks in English. At the other meetups, most people converse in German, but there are often some English native speakers there as well, and most people (especially the younger ones) are very much willing to talk in English. The atmosphere is generally very friendly, but please be aware: this is not a place to search for dates or one-night-stands. It has proven to be disappointing to the person who is searching. Furthermore: inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

Get-togethers/groups in Vienna
Currently there are a few get-togethers/groups in Vienna every month with numbers from 10 to 20 people attending for at least part of the evening. There usually are no plenary discussions, but people chat in groups of 2, 3 or more, and with changing conversation partners over the course of the evening. Sometimes brunches, karaoke evenings, book discussions or queer poly meetings take place. You will find detailed informations on these in the event descriptions in the calendar. Nonmonogamy Meetup [english edition]
English-speaking polyamory/ethical non-monogamy meetup: Come and meet likeminded people and share your experiences of the different forms of ethical non-monogamy, or ask questions if you are still new to this. This is a free event, open to everybody (including of course monogamous people who are interested in learning about polyamory).
The host will bring a red pillow for easier identification.

Bouldering
- Please be punctual, we meet at the ticket counter
- there are shoes for rental and lockers for your belongings
- We are going to boulder in a relaxed way for a couple of hours
- Bring comfy clothes and a water bottle.

The Unlabelled Group

MonoPoly
This monthly event aims at serving as a starting point for all persons who don’t feel comfortable in the world of monogamous relationships and who want to talk about other relationship styles. You can just drop in, eat, drink and get input, answers and leave with new questions in mind. It’s free of charge Organisors: Stefan and Hansi. You will find the upcoming event dates in the calendar.
Polyamorie Gruppe

Polyamory Meetups in Graz:
Graz has the second longest history of polyamory meetups in Austria. There are currently two regular polyamory meetups in Graz:
PolyTisch
PolyTisch is a gathering place for all people who would like to exchange views on polyamory and alternative relationship styles. All genders, age groups, life and love styles are welcome PolyTisch takes place every last Monday of the month at Cafe Harrach, 8010 Graz at 7:03 pm Attendance is usually 40 or more people. Poly Wohnzimmer („poly living room“)
This is a meeting point for everyone who enjoys discussing topics related to polyamory and alternative relationship models in a relaxed atmosphere. All variations and levels of experience from people living polyamorously are welcome, as well as all friends and family members from their surroundings. Living a polyamorous lifestyle is not a requirement to participate in the meetings—openness and joy for new life concepts are completely sufficient.
- All genders, age groups, lifestyles, and ways of loving are welcome.
- PolyWohnzimmer does not serve as a matchmaking platform or dating event. We want to exchange ideas on topics that concern us, get to know people (better), share experiences, and network.
- Most monthly meetings take place at Spektral, which is a cultural center in Graz. Address: Lendkai 45, 8020 Graz, but the entrance is on the side of Fellingergasse!

Get-togethers/meetups in the other Austrian regions
There are also polyamory meetups in Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Linz, St. Pölten and Salzburg. The meetups take place at Bars and Cafes, and currently range between 7-15 attendees. You can find their event dates in the calendar and some of them also announce their dates on the mailinglist.
Polyamory meetups in Linz:
There is a monthly meetup that takes place on the last wednesday of the month, at the restaurant Game and Dine in Blumauerstraße 9, 4020 Linz. The person organizing these meetups is Simone. Events are announced on the polyamory.at calendar and in their Facebook group.
Polyamory Meetups in Salzburg:
There is a monthly meetup for persons who are polyamorous or interested, in Salzburg city. Events take place at alternating locations. There is a regular meetup for polyamorous persons and persons who are interested. Polyamory in Innsbruck:
There is a Facebook group, but it is not used very much.
